Girls Programs

MAHA is passionate about growing girls' hockey and providing opportunities for young female athletes to develop their skills, build confidence, and foster a lifelong love for the game. 

All of our youth teams are coed and welcome boys and girls. In the 10U age group (birth years 2016 & 2017), we also field a girls-only team! This team has the same ice time as the coed teams and also competes on the weekends.

All girls that are signed up for one of MAHA's full season teams are also welcome to register for and participate in weekly girls’ house league sessions at no additional charge.

New to hockey?

Our Girls Try Hockey program is designed to welcome newcomers to the sport in a fun, supportive environment. Here’s what you should know about the program:

• It’s FREE!
• No experience is necessary–this program is targeted toward beginning hockey players
• USA Hockey registration is not required to participate
• We’ll provide the necessary equipment – you’ll have the option to return the equipment after the program has ended or purchase items at a reduced cost
• We will have patient and supportive coaches on the ice focused on learning about hockey, sportsmanship and having fun!
• It’s for girls only! This is a great chance to try hockey and make new friends

Remember, every hockey player started as a beginner. Join us on the ice, and discover the excitement and camaraderie of girls' hockey!

Our Middlebury Girls House League offers:

• Weekly on-ice sessions
• Skill development, teamwork, and community building
• USA Hockey aligned coaching
• A fun, supportive environment for all skill levels

Whether your daughter is lacing up her skates for the first time or dreaming of collegiate hockey, MAHA's Girls Program is a place for her to thrive on the ice.

Program information:

• Program fees are $168 for the season
• Program fees include ice time, coaching, and a hockey jersey for each girl
• Completion of USA Hockey registration is required (additional fee, click here)
• Weekly sessions!
• All sessions will take place at Memorial Sports Center in Middlebury, VT
• On-ice sessions will include skills and scrimmages
• No experience necessary - all skill levels welcome!
